Career Ambassador and Consul General of Costa Rica in New York, United States

A career diplomat since October 1, 2001, she is a lawyer by profession and has extensive experience representing Costa Rica both abroad and within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has held positions at the Embassy of Costa Rica in Honduras as Minister Counselor and Consul General; at the Directorate General of Foreign Policy as Coordinator for International Organizations; and as Consul General at the Consulate General of Costa Rica in Los Angeles, California.

She has also served as President of the Costa Rican Commission of International Humanitarian Law (CCDIH) and as a member of the Evaluation Commission of the Foreign Service.

She currently serves as Consul General at the Consulate General of Costa Rica in New York, where she continues her diplomatic work as a career ambassador..
