About
Heather Ridout is the Consul General of Australia in New York.
Ms. Ridout has four decades of experience in business and public affairs including as former Chief Executive of the Australian Industry Group, Chair of AustralianSuper, member of the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia and board member of the Rand Corporation in Australia.
Until taking up the position of Consul General, Ms Ridout served as a Director for over a decade on the Boards of listed companies, Sims Ltd, which has major investments in the US, and Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) Limited. She was also a board member of Kroll Ltd a Senior Adviser to Private Equity firm EQT, and a board member of an acquired company.
Ms. Ridout also served as a board member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
In 2021, Ms. Ridout was invested as an Officer in the Order of Australia.
