Services

Established in April 2021, the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Philadelphia provides consular services to Korean nationals and residents in Pennsylvania and Delaware. The Consulate is committed to safeguarding the rights and interests of overseas Koreans and strengthening Korea–U.S. cooperation in its jurisdiction.

Philadelphia holds historical significance to Korea as the site of the First Korean Congress in 1919, a pivotal moment in the Korean independence movement led by Dr. Philip Jaisohn. Today, the Korean-American community in Pennsylvania and Delaware continues to thrive in diverse sectors such as politics, economics, law, and healthcare—contributing to dynamic exchanges between Korea and the United States.

In addition to supporting Korean nationals, the Consulate offers consular services and welcomes engagement from U.S. citizens and international residents interested in Korea. The Consulate is dedicated to providing efficient civil services, fostering cultural and diplomatic exchange, and serving as a bridge between Korea and the local community.
