About
Mr. Grode’s journey to becoming the Honorary Consulate General of FIJI to the Philadelphia Region started not from a cultural and heritage, but from one of exploration and discovery. Born in Philadelphia, from an early age he put a heavy emphasis on trying to learn as much about the world through travel. From a junior year abroad where he spent time exploring Europe to trips to Africa, Asia, South America, and Australia, all brought an understanding that can only be gained through experience.
But, of all the places he ever visited, it was Mr. Grode’s four-month stint Fiji in 2003 that will remain as his most impactful cultural journey. He did not spend his time at a resort but instead opted for a journey to the small town and villages that make Fiji so special. Being welcomed with open arms and a willingness to share experiences from the Fijian population provided a perspective on what is truly important in this world. Mr. Grode understands and truly appreciates that Fijians have an unparalleled understanding of the importance of family and community – the worth of time together being more valuable than financial rewards – the importance of helping and appreciating each other.
Today, as the Managing Partner of Green and Spiegel – a preeminent immigration firm – Mr. Grode bring that perspective to every client the Firm work with – and every company they help. He is here to help the Fijian community in the United States in the same way that the community helped him when he was in Fiji – to make your experience better and to be there when you need a bit of assistance.
